Vocal Tip: Let the lyrics do some of the work

In this quick Tip vocal coach Elyssa shares with you how to get the the most out of your lyrics and make your vocals more interesting for the listener.

This is a great tip and applies very much so when it comes to recording in the studio or performing live with a group or backing track. It’s one thing for a vocalist to sing and be heard clearly by themselves, but throw a whole band into the mix and soon frequency and timing real estate gets eaten up very quickly.

If the singer can accent and pronounce in a away to be understood more clearly and also compete with other instruments in the mix it greatly improves the quality of the recording and live performance.

Enjoy the tip and stay tuned for more!
